Brodingberg until the end of 2014 a municipality with 1255 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria, in the district of Graz-Umgebung. As part of the municipality of structural reform in Styria it is merged in 2015 with the communities of Egger bei Graz, hard -Purgstall and politeness Präbach, the new community will continue the name Egger village near Graz. This is based on the Styrian community structure reform law - StGsrG.

Geography
Geographical Location
Brodingberg is about 15 km east of the provincial capital of Graz on Rabnitzbach, a tributary of the Raab.

The municipality comprises the three villages (in brackets population as of 31 October 2011):
- Brodersdorf (430 )
- Brodingberg (391)
- Haselbach (423 )
The municipality comprises the cadastral Monkey Mountain, Brodersdorf and Haselbach.
Neighboring communities
History
In 1190 the village " Brodersdorf " was first mentioned as " Prodistorf " documentary. The local church as an autonomous body created in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria, 1945-1955, she was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

Coat Description: In the blue shield, sprinkled with three standing together stalked golden hazelnuts, a aufbäumender golden stallion.
The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 June 1990.

Traffic
Brodingberg is on the track Straße (B 65) between Graz and track village - 7 km of track village and 16 km from Graz. In municipality is located nearby the south motorway (A2). The nearest railway junction is Village West ( 161) 5 km.
A train station is not in place. The nearest railway station is in the village, 7 km track. In track village is access to the Styrian Eastern Railway and the local railway track village Weiz.
Graz Airport is 30 km away.
Education
The school district is Eggersdorf (primary, secondary and pre-vocational school ).

The municipality belongs to the parish Egger village.
