Bromance

In a figurative sense brother is in many cultures the name for the friend of a male person. The term " brother " is intended to express the duration and depth ( thickness) of this relationship.

Currently, the English name " Bromance " has found ( portmanteau word from ' Brother ' and ' Romance ') in reference to a non-sexual, very intimate relationship between two men stop in the use of language.

A case in which a good friend who was not used in the biological sense, is called a brother, is the biblical story of David and his " brother " Jonathan. Another literary example is Gilgamesh and his " brother " Enkidu. In the Satyricon, the term is used in this way.

Probably the beginning of the 19th century arisen concept of warm brother mockingly refers to this institution and witnessed a social change, increasingly homosexuality were accused by the very close friendships between men.
