Broni

Broni is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9283 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Pavia in Lombardy. The community is located about 16 kilometers southeast of Pavia a few kilometers south of the Po.

History

The origins Bronisław might go back to a Roman settlement, which is mentioned as Comillomagus or Cameliomagus. Although the neighboring community Redavalle also about arguing. With the appearance of Teopertus de Breonis in 859, however, the name is already in use in the Middle Ages.

Traffic
