Bronkow

Bronkow [ bʁɔŋko ː ] ( Lower Bronkow ) is a municipality in the district of Upper Spreewald -Lausitz in Brandenburg and part of the Office Altdöbern.

Geography

The surrounding communities within ten kilometers are Neupetershain, Drebkau, Welzow, Altdöbern, Proschim, Haidemühl and Grossraeschen. The municipality includes the villages Lipten and Lug and the inhabited parts of municipalities Rutzkau and Saadow and residential places, Amandus village and forest house Lipten.

History

Incorporations

The communities Lipten and Lug were incorporated to Bronkow on 26 October 2003.

Policy

The municipal council consists of eight community representatives plus the mayor.

In the earlier communities Lipten and Lug additionally elected local councils operate.

Attractions

In the list of monuments in Bronkow and in the list of ground monuments in Bronkow are registered in the list of monuments of the country Brandenburg monuments. In Bronkow stands on the village green is a war memorial to the fallen of the First World War.
