Brook Lopez

Brook Lopez ( born April 1, 1988 in North Hollywood, California) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA since 2008. His twin brother Robin Lopez also plays basketball in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers.

College career

Brook Lopez graduated from the 2007-2008 season at the service of Stanford University with the team Stanford Cardinal. He was able to achieve an average of 19.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 shot blocks per game. This season, he was also elected to the First Team of the Pacific -10 Conference.

NBA career

In NBA Draft 2008, he was selected to 10 out of the New Jersey Nets. In his first year he could reach with an average operating time of 30.5 minutes in average 13.0 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.8 shot blocks per game. For these achievements, he was appointed to the NBA All - Rookie First Team. The following year, he increased his value to 18.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. But the team success did not come. In the 2010-11 season Lopez scored 20.4 points and led the team in turn as top scorer. Because of injuries, Lopez played only five games during the 2011-12 season.

In summer 2012, Lopez signed a $ 61 million dollar contract, spread over four years. After moving the Nets to Brooklyn, it also ran for Lopez again. He completed 74 games and scored 19.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game. With Brooklyn he reached the playoffs, but retired in the first round. Also, Lopez was appointed as a replacement for the hurt Rajon Rondo to the NBA All-Star Game. He scored 3 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

Mid- December 2013 Lopez broke off in the game against the Philadelphia 76ers in 2011 again the injured foot and is thus probably the rest of the 2013/2014 season injured fail.
