Brook Park is a city in Cuyahoga County in the U.S. state of Ohio, immediately southwest of Cleveland. It is 7.5 square miles ( 19.5 km ²) in size and had (2000) 21,218 inhabitants, of which 94.5 % White.

The city is home to the U.S. auto industry; Ford is represented by a total of three plants for engines and castings. In addition, it houses the NASA Glenn Research Center, which deals with the development of air and space technologies.

The metropolitan area is 9.7 miles ( 15.6 km ) southwest of the city center of Cleveland away and spans about 5.1 miles ( 8.2 km ) from east to west and about 2.25 miles ( 3.6 km ) in north-south direction. It is in the north by Interstate 480, on the east by West 130th Street limited ( according to the census of Cleveland ) and in the south by the road train Sheldon Avenue and Sheldon Road. To the west of the Rocky River forms the border.

Neighboring cities and municipalities are clockwise: Fairview Park and Cleveland to the north, Parma and Parma Heights in the east, Middleburg Heights and Berea in the south as well as Olmsted and North Olmsted to the west.

In the western half of the outlined area, the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is located; this is entirely at the Cleveland area and extends from the northeast deep in the urban area into almost to the southern boundary line. The Ford plants are located east, the Glenn Research Center west of the airport.

The eastern half of the urban area is characterized by small-scale development, as is typical for American suburbs of middle age. Extends approximately halfway along the Snow Road is a 1.6 miles ( 2.6 km ) long commercial strip in east-west direction. In the north- east of the city there is also a large regional cemetery, the Holy Cross Cemetery.

The metropolitan area is - intersected by numerous roads, which run primarily on Cleveland - next to the airport. Interstate 71 leads in a north-south direction approximately in the center of the city. Furthermore, there is a highway that leads from the intersection of that highway to the airport. Just go through a total of three railway lines in the Norfolk Southern and CSX in the northeast-southwest direction the city.

The city has a rapid transit connection to Cleveland. The Red Line of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority runs from the airport on one of the railway lines into the city center of Cleveland. The two stations, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Brook Park (sic), in the amount of the northern boundary line are still on the Cleveland area.
