Brooke Adams (actress)

Brooke Adams ( born February 8, 1949 in New York ) is an American actress.

Life

Adams attended the High School for Performing Arts and the School of American Ballet. After small roles in TV shows and low-budget films Adams received for their outstanding performances in In the Days of Heaven and the remake of the Body Snatchers, both filmed in 1978, positive recognition. She took over the lead role in the films explosion in Cuba (1979 ), The Dead Zone (1983) Special People (1984 ) together with Lesleh Donaldson, Key Exchange ( 1985) and Gas Food Lodging (1992).

Since 1992 she has been married to actor Tony Shalhoub. From 1995, she retired temporarily for family reasons from spectacles back, but took about 2002 her career again. They also had several guest appearances in the television series Monk, in which her husband plays the main role.
