Brooke Hanson

Brooke Louise Hanson (born 18 March 1978 in Manly, New South Wales ) is an Australian swimmer.

Hanson began swimming at the age of four years. In 1994, she was the youngest member of the Australian national team at the Commonwealth Games, where he was fourth on 200 m breaststroke. Then began an eight- year wait for Brooke Hanson. Only at the Commonwealth Games in 2002 she was able to qualify again for the national team. With the World Swimming Championships 2003 in Barcelona, she won the silver medal in the 50m breaststroke. Your greatest achievements came a year later at the Olympic Games in Athens, when she won the 4 x 100m medley relay gold medal and silver over 100 m breaststroke. In the swimming world championships in 2005 in Montreal, she came in several finals, but won only about 50 m breaststroke bronze medal.

In an accident at a trade show in Australia, she suffered a severe electric shock in June 2007.
