Broome, Western Australia

Broome is situated on the Indian Ocean coastal town in the Kimberley region in the north of Western Australia. It is located approximately 2200 km from Perth.

History

The territory of the settlement was originally inhabited by the Yawurru People, a tribe of Aborigines. 1688 and 1699 presented the discoverer William Dampier, the first explorations of the region with the HMS Roebuck.
