The Brose Bamberg Arena (proper spelling: brose ARENA ) is after the Munich Olympiahalle and the Nuremberg Arena, the third largest multifunctional hall in Bavaria.

History

The names of the rights established in 2001 Halle ( formerly Forum Bamberg) were sold to JAKO (manufacturer for team sports clothing ) in March 2006. As part of the marketing of the trademark, the hall of 4750 (6850 concerts ) has been started in the same year to expand Places to 6900 ( over 8000 concerts ). In the six million euro redevelopment measure the foyer of the hall was drawn around 20 meters to the front to make room for a new North Stand. With the change came nine VIP boxes on the west side and an adjacent business area. This combines with an area of 600 sqm up to 700 visitors. In the complex there is a shopping center with a large supermarket and several shops and restaurants. From 1 October 2010 to 30 September 2013, the hall was named after the tubular steel furniture Stechert.

Since October 1, 2013 is called the Hall Brose Arena, named after the automotive supplier Brose. As part of the change of name it comes to larger maintenance and conversion work in the amount of 2.5 million euros by the city of Bamberg. On the one hand was improved by the extension of the existing public address system and the onset of sound-absorbing wall panels in the interior acoustics of the hall. Secondly, the video technology was brought up to date by the acquisition of a video cube with the latest LED technology, and the renewal of networks throughout the house. The new grandstand seating and the modernization of the business area contribute significantly to the appearance of the arena.
