Brossainc
Brossainc is a commune with 222 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in Ardèche, in the Rhône -Alpes. Residents will (it) (it) called Brossinois or Brossaincais.
Geography
The municipality is located in the Haut- Vivarais of the northern and borders the neighboring municipalities Boulieu -lès -Annonay and Paugres. The nearest major town is Annonay 10 kilometers away. Brossainc is made up of many scattered hamlets and is therefore considered very remote.
History
Until 1790 Brossainc formed, along with the village of Saint -Jacques- d'Atticieux a large village, but this was resolved after the French Revolution again. Today, both villages are independent communities.
Culture and sights
Brossainc has a rustic church in Romanesque style. In addition, the hamlet Châtaigner is a popular destination as a vantage point overlooking the town.
