Bruce-Baker-Moore

The Rock Band BBM was a short-lived Scottish -English- Northern Irish supergroup. The letters stand for the last names of the three band members Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Gary Moore. The band delivered in the style of blues rock group Cream, only Eric Clapton was replaced by Gary Moore. Nevertheless, the band was just the result of chance. Originally Gary Moore tried to install along with Jack Bruce and drummer Gary Husband Level 42 a solo album. After releasing the two titles " Blues for Narada " and " With Love ( Remember) " (both songs were on the 1994 Moore solo album Ballads & Blues published ) Husband had no time for further cooperation. Jack Bruce then contacted his old bandmates Ginger Baker, as Baker, Bruce and Moore had already played recently on a Jack Bruce - anniversary concert together. Now that 2/3 of Cream were together again, was the solo - in to convert a band project.

The studio album was released in 1994 under the name Around the Next Dream and reached number 9 of the UK album charts. There was also some live concerts, including on the Schüttorf Open Air The song " One Day" was not on the album, as the band felt that enough ballads were already present there. Instead, Moore published the BBM song in the same year under its own name as a single and on the solo album Ballads & Blues.

In 1998, finally came to a collaboration between Bruce, Husband and Moore. Together they played the Jack Bruce The Cream of Cream video, which contains six newly recorded old Cream classic. In addition, the three worked again as a trio in the same year when Gary Husband video Interplay and Improvisation on the drums and 2002 on the album From Clarksdale to Heaven - a John Lee Hooker Tribute - with and gave several concerts in England.

Jack Bruce said in 2001 in an interview that the band was able to play to their strengths, especially in the live arena and that he would plan a second album together with Moore.
