Bruce Crawford

Bruce Crawford ( born February 16, 1955) is a Scottish politician and member of the Scottish National Party ( SNP).

Crawford visited the Kinross & Perth High School. In the years 1974-1999 he worked for the Scottish Office. Between 1988 and 2001, Crawford was elected council member of the Perth and Kinross region, which he chaired between 1996 and 1999. In the Scottish Parliament elections in 1999 Crawford resigned as candidate of the SNP on the electoral list of the Mid Scotland and Fife region and gained a seat on the newly created Scottish Parliament. In the parliamentary elections in 2003, he took up both as a contestant on the regional list as well as a candidate for the constituency of Stirling. In the constituency Stirling Crawford was by Sylvia Jackson of the Labour Party and the candidate of the Conservative Party, Brian Monteith, combine only the third highest number of votes up., But came again on the regional electoral list to parliament. In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he finally won the direct mandate of the constituency, which he defended with a clear lead in the 2011 parliamentary elections before the candidate of the Labour Party. In the cabinet I Salmond between 2007 and 2011 Crawford held the post of Parliamentary Business Minister. Crawford is married and father of three sons. He is interested in sports, especially football and rugby and is a supporter of the Scottish Fußmallnationalmannschaft and the club Dunfermline Athletic. He also likes to play golf.
