Bruce Paltrow

Bruce Paltrow (* November 26, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, † October 3, 2002 in Rome, Italy ) was an American film and television producer.

Life

Paltrow studied at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. In the late 1960s he began directing stage productions in New York to lead City where he met the actress Blythe Danner and 1969 married. Among his productions included the television series The White Shadow and St. Elsewhere. His last production was the feature film Traumpaare with his daughter Gwyneth Paltrow as the lead actress. His son Jake Paltrow has worked as a producer and director in show business.

Bruce Paltrow died at the age of 58 years while vacationing in Rome to celebrate the 30th birthday of his daughter. He had suffered for several years from cancer and finally succumbed to a lung infection.
