Bruce Vilanch

Bruce Vilanch ( born November 23, 1948 in New York City ) is an American actor, comedian and cabaret artist.

Life

After school Vilanch studied at Ohio State University theater and journalism, reaching in 1970 the Bachelor. He then worked as an actor in plays and was one of the authors of the 1978 television production Star Wars Holiday Special. In addition to his work in the theater Vilanch had in the 1980s several brief appearances in episodes of Bosom Buddies and Law & Order. In 1988, he appeared in the television production Hollywood Today, where he was interviewed by Chris Aable. In the following years Vilanch wrote several program content for comedy programs, especially for Billy Crystal. 2000 Vilanch was seen with his stage show Almost Famous on Westbesth Theatre in New York City. 2005 Vilanch played Edna Turnblad, the role of the Broadway musical Hairspray. Furthermore Vilanch took part in the television series Celebrity Fit Club.

About Vilanchs life already produced two television documentaries: Get Bruce in 1999 and Laughing Matters ... The Men in 2007 2008 was Vilanch in Tru Loved and do not mess with Zohan to see..

Vilanch wrote with Fred Zarr and Jacques Morali the song Where is My Man, which became popular in 1983 with singer Eartha Kitt.

Vilanch lives in New York City.
