Brucknerhaus

The Bruckner Linz House is a concert and event hall, out of the Linz event mbH ( LIVA ).

Named after Anton Bruckner, it was designed by the Finnish architect Kaija and Heikki Sirén Built in 1974 on the Danube and planned with special consideration excellent acoustic properties. The Bruckner house was for the composer much to his worldwide notoriety with.

Shortly after the opening by Herbert von Karajan and the Vienna Philharmonic was the music festival of the Bruckner House, called the Bruckner Festival in life, in which every year top-class international artists and ensembles occur. The Bruckner house is closely connected with the Bruckner Orchestra Linz.

During the annual Ars Electronica Festival symposia, concerts and gala for the Prix Ars Electronica will take place in Bruckner house. The foyer is at this time of the presentation of individual projects and performances.
