Bruise

As a bruise or contusion (Latin contusion ) is the damage to organs or body parts through direct, blunt force called from the outside, which need not be accompanied by visible injury to the skin.

It comes to a circumscribed edema of the tissue and blood leakage from damaged capillaries into the surrounding tissue, which may be visible as a bruise.

Similar processes take place in a pinch, a pressing together of body tissues, which can be a contusion or compression also that, in contrast, also referred to operations without immediate damage and without application of force from outside the body.
