Bruna Genovese

Bruna Genovese (* September 24 1976 in Montebelluna ) is an Italian long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon.

She was third at the Venice Marathon 1999. At the World Athletics Championships 2001, she finished 17th place. Shortly thereafter, she did better than others at the Tokyo International Women's Marathon with 2:25:35 hours her personal best by nearly five minutes.

In 2003, she finished fourth in Tokyo and the following year second in the Rome Marathon.

In a marathon, the Olympic Summer Games 2004 in Athens, she finished in tenth place. At season's end, she won the Tokyo International Women's Marathon.

In 2005, she was third in the Boston and Fifth at New York City Marathon.

A fourth place in Boston in her personal best time of 2:25:28 hours followed the marathon the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 a fifth place. In 2007 she became the third woman from Tokyo Marathon.

Bruna Genovese is 1,61 m tall and weighs 50 kg. She is coached by former Olympian Salvatore Bettiol.
