Geography

Geographical Location

The community is located west of Regensburg in Ostausläufer of the Franconian Jura.

The municipality has 9 Brunn officially named districts:

Climate

The municipality belongs to the Brunn air space Frankenalb.

History

The church belonged to the rule Laaber who had drawn the Wittelsbach by the Lords of Laaber 1463 itself.

Policy

The Mayor

Karl Spangler was since 1985 the first mayor of Brunn. His tenure ended with the 30 April 2008. Was succeeded by 2 March 2008 Karl Söllner (SPD ) is selected. This took effect on 1 May 2008 this office. 2 Mayor 's Isabella Walter ( SPD), 3rd mayor Johann Eibl (FWB ). The latter two were elected at the first meeting of the Council on 9 May 2008 mostly from the ranks of local councils.

Coat of arms

Blazon: A is swept silver tip, is three blue bars, split; front in red with a silver fountain, back in black a golden heraldic lily. The coat of arms is conducted since 1988.

Culture and sights

Sports

The grassroots of the local gymnastics and sports club is dedicated. It includes the departments football, table tennis and skiing. Executive Josef Sachsenhauser.

Regular events

In the second weekend of September every year takes place the woman Berger fair. Besides Kirtabaumaufstellen and Kirtalauf there are stalls for candy and toys.

Media

As a local newspaper here is to emphasize the Mittelbayerische newspaper from Regensburg. Also shown is the weekly paper, the Rundschau and the Official Journal of the management community Laaber, which belongs to Brunn.

Public institutions

The community maintains a yard, a construction waste landfill and sewage treatment plant. In addition, there are two volunteer fire departments, which ensure the security of citizens. The church Fraunberg operates a Catholic kindergarten in Eglsee.

Education

The students attend primary and secondary school in Laaber. Then it goes to secondary education after Parsberg and Regensburg.
