Bruno Pesaola

Bruno Pesaola ( born July 28, 1925 in Buenos Aires ) is a former Argentine- Italian football player and coach, which ran aground during his playing career for several clubs in Argentina and Italy and for the Italian national football team.

Career

Bruno Pesaola began his career in 1939 in the youth team of CA River Plate. In 1945, he joined Sportivo Dock Sud and was taken two years later by the Italian club AS Roma under contract. There he received his first appearances in the Serie A and managed with the team in the league. After that he went to Novara Calcio and completed again many games. 1952, the midfielder was signed from Napoli, where he experienced the most successful period of his career. Pesaola acted in Naples as a regular player and performer. He graduated in eight years, a total of 240 games in the top division, scoring 27 goals.

Although he regularly occupied the front ranks with the team, it did not succeed better placement than the fourth final rank in the seasons 1952/53 and 1957/58 to achieve. Born in Argentina, who had now also get Italian citizenship, graduated on May 26, 1957 in the match against Portugal his only game for Italy. The midfielder then received no further levies for the national team. His last position was as a professional player of Genoa, for which he ran aground in the 1960/61 season.

Following end of his career as an active player, he began a career as a club coach. His first stop was there, Napoli, where he led on the sidelines from 1962 to 1968.
