Bruno Silva

Bruno Silva ( born March 29, 1980 in Cerro Largo, Bruno Ramón Silva Barone full name ) is an Uruguayan footballer who is at Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie under contract. His cousin Nicola Pérez is also a professional footballer.

Career

Association

Bruno Silva began his career as a footballer in his home at Danubio FC Uruguayan. There in 2002 he was a regular in the season and took his first European clubs. After two half- series gained Bruno Silva left his team because of the lucrative offer from Russia and went into the first Russian league FK Rostov.

After only half a year with disappointing four inserts Silva returned to Danbio and won with his team the Clausura 2004 and the Uruguayan championship in 2004. By the middle of next season the defender stayed with Danubio, before he moved to the Dutch first division club FC Groningen. After two and a half years as a regular player Bruno Silva went in January 2008 for the Liga rivals and top club Ajax Amsterdam. Here, however, he made one and a half seasons in just 20 games. In early 2010 he therefore went on loan to the Brazilian SC Internacional, where he spent the entire year. After his return to Ajax in the winter break of 2010/11 he was under new coach Frank de Boer before his comeback to the squad, but suffered in training camp a serious shoulder injury that put him out of action for several months.

National

On 4 February 2003 Silva made ​​his debut for national team of Uruguay. After a long pause he belonged since 2008 regularly in the squad of his country. Until his last mission on September 9, 2009, he completed a total of 17 matches ( no goals ). (Updated: October 16, 2012)
