Brunsbek

Brunsbek ( Low German Bruunsbeek ) is a municipality in the district Stormarn in Schleswig-Holstein.

History

Brunsbek was created on 1 January 1974 by the merger of the municipalities Kronshorst, Langelohe and Pape village. The name is derived from the Low German name for the Brunsbach, which flows through all three villages.

Policy

Of the 13 seats in the municipal council voters Community ABW has since the local elections in 2013 and the CDU eight five seats. The voters Community FBB, which still held three seats previously by the local election in 2008, no longer went to.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms of Brunsbek is a pictorial representation of the three districts. The crane stands for the district Kronshorst ( Kron is the Low German term for crane ), the long bar for Langelohe and the stained glass windows for Pape village that had arisen as a founder of the Hamburg Cathedral Chapter.

Education

The bookmobile in Stormarn holds in 3- week rhythm at three breakpoints in Brunsbek.
