Brussels Metro line 1

The Subway Line 1 of the Brussels Metro, together with the five east- west axis of the network. She drives Stockel / Stokkel to Gare de l' Ouest / West Station.

History

The story line is short, as it was only introduced in April 2009 for network coordination. Previously, the track is frequented by the line 1B. This went even further to Erasme / Erasmus, where today the breaks forth 5.

The main line was opened on 17 December 1969 as Premetro. On 20 September 1976 it was rebuilt and extended into a full Metro. In 2009, the network was restructured to completion of the ring 2 and the lines 1A and 1B were the new lines 1 and 5
