Bruvik

Bruvik is a formerly independent municipality of Fylke Hordaland in Norway. It is located about 20 kilometers east of Bergen on Bosvik.

Bruvik split on 1 January 1870 by the parish hall. At that time they had about 2000 inhabitants. In 1964, parts of Bruvik were summarized in the course of municipal reform with the neighboring communities house, Hamre and Hosanger to the new municipality Osterøy. Other parts of the municipality of the newly established municipality Vaksdal were slammed.
