Bryaxis

Bryaxis was a Greek sculptor of the 4th century. BC

He was one of the masters of his craft, so that he was commissioned in the year 350 BC, Artemisia II, the wife of the Persian satrap Mausolus together with Leochares, Scopas and Timotheus, the tomb of Mausolus, the so-called Mausoleum of Halicarnassus to build. Each of the sculptor was responsible for one side of the building. For information about his life is not known.

Later works are a statue of Serapis in Alexandria, the Apollo Kitharodos to Daphne near Antioch and a portrait of Seleucus I.
