Bryce Salvador

Bryce Salvador ( born February 11, 1976 in Brandon, Manitoba ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player standing since 2008 with the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Bryce Salvador began his career as a hockey player with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, which until 1997 he was active from 1992 in the Western Hockey League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1994 in the sixth round as the 138th overall player of the Tampa Bay Lightning, for which he, however, never played, as they did not receive him within two years under contract. Then signed Salvador on 16 December 1996 as a free agent contract with the St. Louis Blues. After 1997 to 2000 for St. Louis ' farm team, the Worcester IceCats of the American Hockey League, was on the ice, played the Canadians from 2000 to 2008 a total of eight years for the Blues in the National Hockey League. Only during the lockout in the 2004/ 05 NHL season the defender for the Missouri River Otters in the United Hockey League was active.

On 26 February 2008, the St. Louis Blues gave the players off in exchange for Cam Janssen of the New Jersey Devils.

On January 17, 2013 Salvador was appointed tenth captain of the New Jersey Devils.
