Bryn Mawr Classical Review

Bryn Mawr Classical Review ( BMCR ) is a review body which discusses new publications in the field of classical studies and appears exclusively on the Internet since 1999. It's Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania named after where it is published since 1990. After Postmodern Culture (PMC ) the BMCR is the second oldest humanities journal on the Internet. It was launched as a hybrid publication; the printed output was set at the end of the vintage 1998.

The homepage of the BMCR is held in English. The contributions appear mainly in English, but also German, Italian, French and Spanish are accepted. The reviews are available on the homepage, an RSS feed and per mailing list. All published since 1990 are archived on the website and are publicly available without an appointment (Open Access). Replies to the reviews are highly encouraged by the editors of BMCR and may be published in the BMCR blog.

The editorship have the senior editor Richard Hamilton, James J. O'Donnell, Camilla McKay and Rolando Ferri held. They are supported by a number of Associate Editors ( Associate Editors ), including Heinz -Günther Nesselrath for Gräzistik, Stephen J. Harrison for Latin Studies, Robert D. Lamberton for Reception, Catherine Conybeare for Christianity and Luigi Battezzato for Greek history. Among the previous editors include Ellen Bauerle, Joseph Farrell, Sander Goldberg, Brad Inwood, Jeffrey Rusten, David Sansone, David Sider, William J. Slater and John Yardley.
