Bryology

Bryology (from Greek: βρύον ( brüon ) " moss, sea moss " and -logy ) is the science of the mosses.

First focused its attention in the 18th century with the mosses. The German botanist Johann Jacob Dillen ( Dillenius ) ( 1687-1747 ) was a professor at Oxford University and was the 1717 work " propagation of ferns ( ferns ), and mosses " out.
