Btissam Lakhouad

Btissam Lakhouad (Arabic ابتسام لخواد; born December 7, 1980 in Khouribga ) is a Moroccan middle distance runner.

Lakhouad was twelfth in the 1500 meter race at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. About the same distance separated them at the World Athletics Championships 2009 in Berlin in the semifinals, but won a short time later the gold medal at the Jeux de la Francophonie in Beirut.

At the World Cross Country Championships 2010 in Bydgoszcz, she took 34th place. In the same year she won the bronze medal over 1500 meters at the Athletics - Africa Championships in Nairobi. In the Cross Country Championships Africa 2011 in Cape Town, she was sixth.
