B.T.R. or BTR is the debut album by the American band Big Time Rush.

Backgrounds and appearance

The recordings on the album began in 2009 with creation of the Single Big Time Rush. The album was not only the first studio album by the band, but also the soundtrack to her eponymous series. On 1 September 2010, the track list of the album was released on the Internet. The result was a discussion that two of the most popular songs from the series, namely Any Kind Of Guy and Famous, which is a cover version of the original Swedish girl group Play, were not in the title list. The song Boyfriend was found in the list of titles also, but only the album version because Boyfriend was later turned into a single, made it in the editions published later. In the list of titles you also saw that the song Count On You Big Time Rush sings along with the American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, was also available. The album was named BTR, which is an acronym for the band name Big Time Rush, which was often used in the series. In the U.S., the album was released as a U.S. Edition on 11 October 2010 on the only the first eleven tracks were heard. This U.S. edition was released in Germany on 17 December 2010 as a download only. This edition of the album did not make it in the German album charts. The published 15 April 2011 Germany edition made ​​it into the German charts. On this edition of Germany were five bonus tracks, including Any Kind Of Guy and Famous. It sold 700,000 copies worldwide, including more than 500,000 sales in the United States. For the many sales on 31 March 2011 it was given a gold record in the U.S., which was the first award for music sales for Big Time Rush at the same time. In Mexico, the album sold over 50,000 copies and got this the second gold record on 30 September 2011. In Germany, the album has sold over 40,000 copies and debuted at number sixteen of the German album charts.

Reception
