Buakaw Banchamek

Buakaw Por. Pramuk ( in Thai:. บัวขาว ป ประมุข, born May 8, 1982 in Buriram, Thailand ) is a Muay Thai fighter ( Thai boxing ), which until 2012 for the club Por. Pramuk Gym has fought and was trained by the legendary trainer Adjan jout.

Life

Buakaw Por. Pramuk (real name: Sombat Banchamek ) is a Muay Thai fighter who is also seen in K-1. Buakaw is " Bua KAAO activities" and means " White Lotus ". The suffix " Por.Pramuk " comes from the name of his former Muay Thai school: in Thailand, it is common that the fighters take the name of their school as part of their battle name. He is 174 cm tall, weighs about 69.5 kg and lives in Buriram province. He grew up in very poor circumstances, but could nevertheless in the world elite of the K -1 and Muay Thai fight his way.

He began his career in the first Muay Thai fights and nowadays also in full contact combat sport K -1.

Right in the first year of his K-1 participation, he qualified for the K- 1 World Max Final tournament and won the final fight ( K -1 World Max Champion 2004).

The following year, he qualified again for the K -1 World Max Final, managed again to the finals, but there had to admit defeat (K-1 WORLD MAX 2005 2nd ). This decision by the referee, however, was controversial and split the camp of fans and experts.

In K- 1 World Max 2006 Buakaw was able to win the title again. He defeated Yoshihiro Sato in the first fight by KO and Gago Drago by unanimous decision. In the final match he defeated Andy Souwer, against whom he had last year lost this movie also with KO.

Direct in his first fight at the final tournament in 2007 he lost to Masato by unanimous judges' decision.

Sombat played in 2011 in the movie Samurai of Ayotaya ( Title in German distributor: Way of the Samurai ) teaches a warrior of old Thai kingdom, the other warriors in the art of Muay Boran.

2012 Sombat Banchamek started an ordination as a monk. The traditional ceremony took place on May 6, 2012 will take in the family circle, who led his father Mr. Seng. A Thai ordination usually takes two years, but it can be determined by each yourself how long this lasts in the end. His name during this time is " Sirikoottho ". In the temple he will live in a 2 x 1.5 meter " Kuti " ( monk's cell ) with only the bare necessities.

On 4 May 2005 he defeated in the final elimination Vasily Shish ( Belarus ) after 3 rounds with 3-0 judges votes.

  • In the first fight he defeated: Jadamba Narantungalag (Mongolia).
  • In the second fight, he defeated Albert Kraus (Netherlands).
  • In the third and final fight he lost to Andy Souwer (Netherlands).

K-1 World Max 2006

On 5 April 2006 he defeated in the final elimination Virgil Kalakoda (South Africa) after 4 rounds (3 rounds extra round ) with 2-1 judges votes.

  • In the first fight he defeated Yoshihiro Satō (Japan).
  • In the second fight, he defeated: Gago Drago ( Armenia).
  • In the third and final fight he defeated Andy Souwer (Netherlands).

K-1 World Max 2007

On June 28 he defeated in the final elimination Nicky Holtzken (Netherlands) after 3 rounds with 3-0 judges votes.

  • In the first fight he lost to: Masato (Japan).
