Bub Asman

Bub Asman ( born August 17, 1949 in Louisville ) is an American sound engineer and editor. For his work he was nominated four times for an Oscar, once he was excellent.

Life

In the 1970s, Asman began as an editor and worked with on various projects. Since the late 70s he worked exclusively as a sound engineer and was responsible for the sound editor or sound effects in many Hollywood films.

For his work he was nominated several times for an Oscar in the category Best Sound Editing: 1997 for the film Eraser in 2001 for the film Space Cowboys and 2007 twice for the films Letters from Iwo Jima and Flags of Our Fathers. For the former, he won this year together with Alan Robert Murray the award.
