Book on forestry is a district of the Bavarian district town of Lichtenfels, with 557 inhabitants (20 February 2009).

The A73 runs approximately 1 km east, while the county road LIF27 leads through the village.

History

The first mention of " Buoch " was in the year 1215th By the end of the Old Kingdom the place partly to the high- Bishopric of Bamberg and partly to the Saxon territory belonged. On August 21, 1811, it was handed over to Bavaria completely. In 1818 book was put together at the forest with hammer, Seehof and Forsthub to a community. In 1818 had book on forestry 325, 1950 802, 1961 777 and in 1970 702 inhabitants. On 1 January 1978, the integration took place in the town of Lichtenfels.
