Bucheon

Bucheon ( Kor. 부천 ) is a city in the South Korean province of Gyeonggi -do. The city is directly and almost seamlessly between the cities of millions Incheon in the west and in the east Seoul. Bucheon is a cultural center in the Seoul metropolitan area. The Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the most famous in Korea and since 1997, the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival is held here. Many manufacturing companies are located in the city.

There are several higher education institutions in the city, including the Bucheon College, Yuhan the College, the Catholic University of Korea and Seoul Theological University. Bucheon is also home to the K-League football club Bucheon SK. Traffic Technically, the city is relatively well served by transiting line branches of the metro Seoul and an intersecting highway network.

Bucheon is due to the very small, from three sides constrained by the high hills urban area even for Asian cities population density of nearly 16,000 inhabitants per square kilometer.

Pronunciation of the name

The name Bucheon consists of two syllables. The first syllable is Bu, the second cheon. This begins with an aspirated ch as in Chad, followed by an open o as in organ and ends with a normal n.
