Büchergilde-Essaypreis

The Book Guild essay prize was a two-yearly essay contest, which was announced with a set topic of the books Gutenberg from 2000 to 2006 as part of its series on current affairs. 2004 and 2006, the nationwide Berlin daily taz participated in the competition.

Structure

An independent jury evaluated the entries. The essay prize of Büchergilde was endowed with 2,500 euros. In addition, the selected essay was published together with other nine who were shortlisted as a book.
