Buck Danny

Buck Danny (earlier on German Rex Danny ) is a French- Belgian comic book series, begun in 1947.

Action

Buck Danny, Jerry Tumbler and Sonny Tuckson get to know during their military service in the Pacific. After a brief interlude as civilians they go back together to the U.S. Navy. They test new aircraft and make flying squadrons with. In addition, they fight espionage rings and gangs. These tasks they perform in all parts of the world. Several times they thwart the plans of the mysterious Lady X, the first enemy spy and later worked as a mercenary.

Background

Georges Trois Fontaines had the idea for the flyer series. Jean -Michel Charlier wrote the lyrics. The drawings came from Victor Hubinon. His successor was Francis Bergèse, in 1983, five years after the last adventure, published his first story. The episode Les oiseaux noirs was not completed due to the death of the Texters. According to a story by Jacques de Douhet led Francis Bergèse the series until his resignation in 2008 on its own.

Publications

The series appeared in 1947-1978 and 1993-2008 in Spirou. Various publishers took over the publication of the albums. Three short stories came in Risque - Tout to reprint. Dupuis published two total expenditure. In German-speaking Bastion began in 1973 with the publication of a series of booklets. Here, some albums have been omitted with acts of war and changed the order of the remaining episodes. The modified sequence led to breaks in the chronology. In addition, names and places have been changed. A new edition of the book series started in 1977. Ehapa were some episodes in the series The large aviator and racer comic books out. The independent albums series came from Carlsen. A story published in an anthology. Salleck continued the series and began with the complete edition. In a special issue of the unfinished episode came out.
