Bud Blake

Julian Blake, also Bud Blake ( born 1918 in the USA, † December 26, 2005 in Boston ) was an American illustrator and comic strip artist.

Life

Julian " Bud " Blake developed the excellent comic strip "Tiger " which was published in various newspapers around the world ( in German-speaking countries under the title "Leo" ). Tiger was in 1970, 1978 and 2000 elected by the National Cartoonists Society for Best Comic Strip. Blake processed in his comic his childhood experiences and recorded until 85 years of age. Prior to his career as a cartoonist Blake was art director of an advertising agency.

Blake left his son Julian Blake and his daughter Mariane.
