Buddy Adler

Buddy Adler (actually: E. Maurice Adler, born June 22, 1909 in New York City, New York, USA, † July 12, 1960 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American film producer and screenwriter.

Short Biography

Adler produced only 24 movies, and was twice nominated for an Oscar yet. Once, in 1954, he finally won it for the film From Here to Eternity. The second nomination was 1956 Splendored Thing.

Adler was married from 1940 to his death with the film actress Anita Louise, the two had two children.

Buddy Adler died at the age of 51 from lung cancer.
