Buddy Van Horn

Wayne " Buddy" Van Horn ( born August 20, 1929) is an American stuntman and director who is known for his long association with Clint Eastwood.

Life

Van Horn began his film career in 1951 as the uncredited unnamed stuntman in the Western Am stake of the Sioux. Until the mid- 1950s, followed by a few more Western, 1955, he worked in The Naked hostage for the first time along with Clint Eastwood, who starred in this film a small supporting role. Among the best known films in which he worked as a stuntman in these years belong to the world and Spartacus in 80 days. 1968 began his long association with Eastwood when he was first employed as his personal stunt double in Coogan's big bluff. In the following feature films Eastwood Van Horn was always as its double it. In 1973 he took over at Dirty Harry II - Calahan, the assistant director and finally led in the 1980s in three films Eastwood directed the film. Overall, Van Horn worked in over 40 films with Eastwood, including Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino, where he worked as a stunt coordinator.
