Bueng Khong Long District

Geography

The Bueng Kan province is located about 615 kilometers northeast of Bangkok along the Mekong River, which is here the border to Laos.

Amphoe Bueng Khong Long borders the following counties (from the south clockwise): Amphoe Ban the Phaeng and Na Thom province Nakhon Phanom, and Amphoe Seka and Bung to the Khla in Nong Khai province. To the east lies on the opposite bank of the Mekong River is the provincial Bolikhamsai of Laos.

History

Bueng Khong Long was born on January 7, 1986 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by being separated from Amphoe Seka. On November 4, 1993, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Bueng Khong Long is divided into four communities ( tambon), which in turn in 51 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Bueng Khong Long ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บึง โขง หลง ), consisting of parts of the tambon Bueng Khong Long and Mak Khaeng Pho.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
