Buenos Aires City Hall

The City Council of Buenos Aires (Spanish: Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires ) is the seat of Government in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. It is located at the Plaza de Mayo.

Building

The birth of a federal state in 1880 drew a boom in foreign trade and a wave of immigration after what also brought an increase in the population of the capital with them. The data used for local government since 1860 rooms on the second floor of the police headquarters therefore no longer sufficient and in 1890 appointed mayor Francisco P. Bollini the construction of a town hall.

The extension was designed in the same style with French elements as the main house and executed by the company Bonneu Ibero, Parodi & Figini.
