Buenos Aires Stock Exchange

The Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires ( BCBA ) ( German: Commercial Buenos Aires Stock Exchange ) the Company is responsible for the operation of the main stock exchange in Argentina. It is located on Avenida Leandro N. Alem, in the San Nicolás neighborhood, in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. It was founded in 1854 and is the successor of the Banco Mercantil, which was founded in 1822 by Bernardino Rivadavia.

The BCBA defines itself as follows: " It is a self-regulating, non -profit, civil law. In its board sit representatives of various sectors of the Argentine economy. "

The main stock index is the MERVAL (derived from Mercado de Valores ). Other indicators are Burcap, Bolsa General and M.AR. and the currency indicator indole.

The current building was designed by Alejandro Christophersen 1913 and completed in 1916. The modern cultivation is from Mario Roberto Álvarez and was inaugurated in 1977.
