Features

The paradise Reads has a size of 23 cm. He has a big red bill, a blue forehead patch, a black facial stripes, blue-black wings and a reddish breast. He has the typical white long tail feathers of the Paradieseisvögel.

Occurrence

The paradise Reads is common in Papua New Guinea, the Bismarck Archipelago and on the Cape York Peninsula of Australia. It feeds on insects and other small animals, which it catches on the ground.
