Buff-breasted Sabrewing

The Tepuidegenflügel ( Campylopterus duidae ), sometimes called mountain Sabrewing or cream -colored Sabrewing, is a species of bird in the family of hummingbirds ( Trochilidae ). Features

The Tepuidegenflügel reaches a body length of about 12 centimeters. The black beak is up to 22 millimeters long. The top is gold green where the skull contain less gold-colored elements. The under tail-coverts and tip portions of the outer tail feathers are bright ocher color graded. Distribution and habitat

This hummingbird is in the higher elevations of the tropical and subtropical zones before at altitudes 1200-2400 meters. The natural habitat is the cloud forest. Subspecies

So far, two subspecies are known, which differ mainly by their coloring.
