Buffalo County (Wisconsin)

The Buffalo County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. In 2010, the County had 138 587 inhabitants and a population density of 78.2 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Alma, named after the Ukrainian river Alma.

History

The Buffalo County was formed in 1853 from parts of Trempealeau County. It was named after the Buffalo River.
