Buffalo River (KwaZulu-Natal)

The Buffalo River is a river in the South African province of KwaZulu -Natal and is part of the river system of the Tugela. It rises north of Newcastle at Volksrust. It flows in a southeasterly direction and empties into the Tugela at Nkandla.
A problem of the Buffalo River is the lack of water quality. From the mines to Newcastle and from the area of Ngagane River flowing acidic Bergbauausflüsse in Buffalo.
