Buggenhagen

Buggenhagen is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald, situated on a Landau book stays at the river Peene. It is on the river Peene based in Wolgast managed by the Office. History

Buggenhagen

The name comes from the noble family of those Buggenhagen " of Bughe ". Mention the place is being built for the first time in 1250 as a castle in the area of the knight of Berend Bughe ( Buggenhagen ). Buggenhagen so is the oldest district of the church today. By the year 1945 it was owned by the noble family of Buggenhagen. The mansion Buggenhagen was probably built in the second half of the 18th century. From 1995 to 2002 it was used as a hotel.

Jamitzow

The district Jamitzow was first documented in 1315. In 1618 the village was designated Lamzow. It extended earlier in the direction of the Peene and was prone to flooding. Therefore, it was moved to its present site.

In the 17th century a mansion was built in Jamitzow, which had to be demolished due to disrepair after decades. In 1912, a new manor house was built on the ruins of the old house. This burned down in 1928. An arson of the former lords of the manor Emil Lamprecht could not be proved.

Wangelkow

Wangelkow was first mentioned in 1371 as " Wanghelkow " documentary. The name signifies in Slavonic " coal ".

Silberkuhl

Silberkuhl was named as such in 1782 for the first time. In the resort were a dairy farm, a fishing house and a ferry. As a place it ceases to exist after 1859, it is only a forester's house with the name already exists.
