Builders of the Adytum

The Order of Builders of the Adytum (English builder of Adyton, in short: BOTA ) is a religious non-profit organization based in Los Angeles that offers instruction in hermetic symbolism and Kabbalistic teaching internationally. B.O.T.A. sees itself as a branch of traditional mystery cults of the West.

The organization maintains mainly distributed across the American continent, but also in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, several working groups which meet on a regular basis for so-called group work. Also regularly - practiced rituals - including for purposes of healing.

History

B.O.T.A. was founded on 21 March 1922 by the American occultist Paul Foster Case and four unknown persons in New York City, who were all members of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and expansion of the topics according to Cases of death of the occultist Ann Davies and continued. The name of the Builders Adytum refers to the objective sought to build an inner temple, in which the Blessed Sacrament is to be built, the Adytum (Latin for Greek Adyton ). Beliefs

The members of the Order explore the Kabbalah and see in it the root of the Christian and Jewish religion, but order is not in a particular faith. In addition to many core contents of the Golden Dawn and the intensive study of case with the symbolism of the Tarot flowed into the lessons of BOTA one. The Tarot is not used for divinatory purposes, but should be an instrument for personal development and spiritual enlightenment. The administration of the Order provides the ordinary members of the learning materials, which include, among others, the interpretation of the Kabbalah, the Tarot and astrology, on teaching letters available.
