Common dirt cup Ling

The common dirt cup Ling (Bulgaria inquinans ) is a species of fungus in the family dirt cup Ling relatives and the only species of the genus of the dirt cup warmers (Bulgaria).

Features

The fruiting bodies of the commoners dirt cup Lings first match spherical, later bowl -like spread apothecia with a brown, aged black and becoming warty kleiigen outside. The fertile inside is smooth, moist and shiny when dry matte. The black spores powder on the insides of mature fruiting bodies stained fingers when swiping dark - hence the German common name " dirt cup Ling ". Using this feature, the type slightly from similar looking Stoppe leagues Drüsling ( Exidia glandulosa ) are distinguished by white, quantitatively spärlicherem spore powder. Ecology

The common dirt cup Ling is a saprobiontischer beef resident who grows mainly on relatively fresh, lying trunks and branches of oaks, rare chestnut, hornbeam and elm. Its fruiting bodies appear from September to March.

Importance

The common dirt cup Ling is not edible, as wood pest he does not in appearance.
