Bulge (astronomy)

As Bulge (English bulge, " bulge " ) is called in astronomy the dense central region of a spiral galaxy. The Bulge stands out clearly from the rest of the galaxy. Firstly, it appears much brighter due to its high density, on the other hand he arches usually far above the disk plane out. For very distant galaxies the bulge is often the only thing that can be seen from the galaxy. They resemble elliptical galaxies. Inside the bulge sitting recent research indicates that often a black hole, as well as the center of our Milky Way. The ratio between the masses of the black hole and the bulge is the ratio of 0.2 per cent (after Ho, 1999 and convertible, 1999) and 0.6 percent (after Kormendy and Richstone, 1995 ) at different galaxies constant. The sizes of the percentages are controversial in the research.
